Technology: COBRA Direct has chosen technology systems that ensure first rate COBRA administration for client companies. From computer software and telephone systems to office technology and communications, COBRA Direct enjoys 21st Century technology in every area of the business.
Within our COBRA Administration software, client companies are set up with the rules and practices that are specific to their business and benefit plans, and all eligible employees and their dependents are loaded into the system via EFT (Electronic File Transfer). Once employees and dependents are in the system, all a client company needs to do is notify COBRA Direct when new employees become eligible for the benefit plans and when an employee or one of their dependents encounters a qualifying event. COBRA Direct does all the work from this point. Client companies can notify COBRA Direct of new eligibles and qualifying events via the web, email, EFT, mail, or by fax.
